Act As If

Remember being a kid?

Pretending to be something you werenโ€™t. 
A firefighter. ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿš’๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿพโ€๐Ÿš’
A police officer. ๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿฟโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ
A teacher. ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿผโ€๐Ÿซ๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿฝโ€๐Ÿซ
An astronaut. ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฝโ€๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿผโ€๐Ÿš€ I believe if you pretend to be something youโ€™re not. You eventually become that thing. Some of us actually grew up and became what we pretended to be when we were a child.

The power within pretending doesnโ€™t go away. Itโ€™s still within us. Most of us adults brush pretend time away as if itโ€™s โ€œa childish thing to do.โ€ We simply stop pretending.

Yet… Most adults have a hard time making the changes they really want to make to their lifestyle.

Everyoneโ€™s looking for that quick fix. New clothes and accessories. The next trendy thing. Anything to help us feel good about ourselves. 
I promise you this if youโ€™re still reading. Continue to chase the quick โ€œfeel goodโ€ results. Accept, right now, you will always be chasing results and never get there.

Another quote I love to embrace. Itโ€™s from my coach @themartinrooney and he said, โ€œDonโ€™t give up what you want most for what you want now.โ€ Results are the product of our DAILY actions and inactions. The problem some of us have is our inactions are in line with our goals rather than our actions. 
We alllll want results. We donโ€™t allll do whatโ€™s necessary and scientifically proven to deliver results.

Do you really want to feel better than ever?

Eat the right portions (calories) for your goals. Drink enough water. Heavy lifting 2x a week. HIIT 2x a week. Active recovery and sleep.

Thatโ€™s the formula for results. Thatโ€™s it.

So why not be childish with your goals?

Pretend you already are the person you want to be. Pretend you have the body you want. Pretend you feel the way you want to feel.
